Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., discovers, develops, and commercializes biopharmaceutical medicines to treat serious medical conditions. Its Industrial Operations and Product Supply facility is located two miles east of downtown Albany in the Town of East Greenbush, Rensselaer County, where it manufactures and distributes medicines for sale or use in clinical trials.  Regeneron’s drug products are genetically engineered therapeutic proteins.
 

Regeneron, headquartered in Tarrytown, Westchester County, has invested more than $50 million and added nearly 200 employees in East Greenbush since 2008, with dozens more hires expected in 2011. The East Greenbush facility’s function includes production, supply chain management, warehousing, and quality control testing. An ongoing expansion, expected to finish in summer 2011, will add 6,000 square feet of state-of-the-art quality control laboratories.
