Camp Scully

Camp Scully is a co-ed; day and overnight summer camp for children and teens aged 5 to 17 and is accredited by the American Camp Association.  It is located on 22 acres of land on Snyder’s Lake in North Greenbush, approximately 10 miles from Albany, New York.  Campers spend their week with 9 other children in their age group and two adult counselors. Cabins are split by gender and are in separate areas of the camp.

Camp Scully has nine children’s cabins, playing fields, hiking trails, a beach area, and an archery field, challenge ropes course, campfire pits, game areas, a vegetable garden, a stage, a lean-to camping platform, and a recreation hall.  New this year is our Nature/ Environmental center, the children explore and learn about a variety of local animal wildlife that frequents the grounds. They view animal pelts, skeletons, and look at reference material of local animal life for identifications purposes.
In the center there will an ant farm, a worm factory, a water cycle model, a variety of rocks (sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic), and photosynthesis information and models.

Camp has an extensive waterfront area with a Pirate Boat, kayaks, canoes and an inflatable water trampoline. Our challenge ropes course is an extensive one with plenty of physical and mental obstacles for children including two lines 30 feet in the air. Camp has two archery ranges, a beginner range and a more advanced one with a unique “sniper” trail!
